HISTORY OF BURNTWOOD & DISTRICT ROTARY CLUB

On the 29th October 1986 Past District Governor & Past President of the Rotary Club of Walsall Don Rowland, and Past President of the Rotary Club of Cannock Ray Topp held the first meeting of prospective members of a new Rotary Club. The Foster Club, Rotary Club of Cannock, arranged the meeting at The Windmill Inn, Gentleshaw. Five men attended the first meeting and every Wednesday for the next 4 months new prospective members were recruited.
